Fried rice is a traditional Chinese side dish, which can be cooked in many different ways. We are going to teach you how to make fried rice according to a basic recipe. It is very easy to cook and you can use it instead of steamed rice or some other garnish. If you add meat, shrimps, chicken, fish or vegetables into it, you will get a delicious main meal.

4 cups rice (previously cooked)
2 green onions
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp oil

Making Fried Rice

Preparing the Rice
You should use rice that has been cooked in advance. In fact, two or even three day old rice will be good too. Bust up all clumps in the rice. It will help it to cook evenly.
Beating the Eggs
Crack two eggs into a small bowl and beat them with chopsticks (like they do in in China) or a fork. They should become frothy.
Scrambling the Eggs
Heat a wok3 (or a regular frying pan), cover its bottom with two tablespoons oil and pour the eggs into it. Cook them, stirring, until the eggs are scrambled. Remove them and wash the frying pan because you will need it.
Cooking the Rice
Cover the bottom of the frying pan with one tablespoon oil and add the previously cooked rice. Fry it, stirring, for a couple of minutes. Add soy or oyster sauce.
Putting the Ingredients Together
Add your scrambled eggs and finely chopped green onion to the heated rice and stir-fry it for a minute.
